How to Make Your Taxes Less Taxing

Carianne “Cari” Weston, a CPA in Austin, will give tips to freelancers about how they can better handle their taxes.

Cari has more than 15 years of experience in tax, accounting services and small business consulting. Her experience covers a broad range of industries, including architecture, computer services, engineering, legal firms, medical practices, nonprofit organizations, professional services and real estate.

She worked full time as a bookkeeper and tax preparer while earning a bachelor’s degree Accounting.  She went on to earn her master’s degree in taxation while working full time for Ernst & Young in Phoenix.  Both degrees were obtained from the W.P. Cari has extensive experience in working with both individuals and businesses on tax planning, tax return preparation and IRS representation. In addition, she works with small business owners in their accounting system implementation, analyzing and reviewing financial results, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls, staff training, and general accounting and tax advisory services. She is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and has worked with the program for close to 20 years.>
